About LawnWorks

Meet Josh Cull

Josh Cull, owner of LawnWorks Lawn Care, has spent more than 30 years working in the green industry — and caring for turf isn’t just his profession, it’s his passion. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Josh earned his Bachelor’s degree in Plant and Soil Science with an emphasis in Turfgrass Management, building the strong scientific foundation that still guides his approach today.

Josh spent nearly 20 years in golf course maintenance, managing turf at the highest levels and was involved in preparing courses for a multitude of PGA and USGA tournaments. That experience shaped his commitment to precision, consistency, and doing things the right way — standards he now brings to every residential lawn he services.

For the past six years, Josh has focused on residential lawn care, applying his golf course–level knowledge and attention to detail to help homeowners achieve lawns they’re proud of. He believes that great lawn care starts with good communication, personalized customer service, and sound agronomic practices.

Josh is also a strong believer in giving back to the industry. He currently serves on the Turf Committee for Landscape Illinois (formerly ILCA), has served on the Board of Directors for the Midwest Association of Golf Course Superintendents, and has represented the industry on the Horticultural Advisory Committee for Illinois Central College.

Outside of work, you’ll find Josh enjoying the outdoors, cooking, or tinkering with old cars — hobbies that reflect the same hands-on dedication he brings to Lawn Works every day.
